The Final Push

Our Dreamer is feeling much much better - thank you all for your kind comments and concern! She is not 100% yet, but so much improved! I think it really helped that Grammy and Poppa arrived safely Sunday night! There is nothing like spending time with your two favorite people to perk a girl up! Our Storyteller is in denial. He is sure it is just 'dust' but we think he's got cold number 3!!!! What a boy! Maybe it's just one long cold that he never quite gets over. I don't know, but thankfully he is bright and cheerful, and on the go despite the stuffy nose.

I had some major dental work early yesterday morning in preparation for a crown to protect a broken tooth that has been bothering me for over a month. It was pretty awful because despite giving me Novocain 3 times, I just didn't 'stay frozen'. The pain and stress and Novocain sent my liver into a painful tizzy, so yesterday was pretty much a wash. I am much much better today, but concerned about infection. If it's one thing, it's another!

My Historian is off to vote this morning and than he'll head to work. I pray that he gets in a short line up and gets through relatively quickly. What a privilege it is to have a hand in the choosing of our country's leadership. Of course, ultimately, God is the One who allows those in authority to be in those positions. We are just praying that this nation receives mercy, and that in all things, God is glorified.

This is a 'no school' week for us as we finished off a semester last week. There are some subjects like reading for Storyteller and math for Dreamer that we will continue on, and of course, there are always AWANA verses to study, but for the most part the kids enjoy their week of freedom from our regular schedule. I enjoy it too and usually use it plan the coming weeks, but this week is the final push before the Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday.

What was I thinking? How do you get ready for a craft fair in three weeks? Oh well, it's a bit of a push, but I am having fun. Thankfully Mrs.M is working right along too and has 10 purses ready to sell. Our's might not be the best stocked booth, but we'll have enough to choose from, and hopefully that will be good. I have a dozen purses finished and only about 25 tassels, so I must get busy and make more of those! I'll be sure to take pictures of my finished products, but right now my camera card is full and I need to clear some memory!

I'd better get to work! I hope your week is full of blessing and hope! This passage encouraged my heart so much in yesterday's reading! I hope it brings you the same!

Psalm 24

A Psalm of David
1 The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.
2 For He has founded it upon the seas,
And established it upon the waters.

3 Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive blessing from the LORD,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek Your face. Selah

7 Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
The LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah

He is the King of glory!

  3. Sorry you are under the weather. Hope you three start feeling better soon.

One of the nice things about being saved is knowing that God is in controll of everything and He appoints all governments...

    God bless,
